05/25/06 The Prairie Dogs (and their pups) are out this time of year. This sounds sick, but I keep hoping that I will get a chance to see a big hawk swoop down and try and get one. A bit morbid, but it's just nature playing out the roles.

10/27/05 Herds of elk hang out in RMNP every year. This doe was getting a drink as the late afternoon light just caught her perfectly. I was standing in a meadow surrounded by over 200 elk and I was in awe. It was fantastic and I can't wait to get back there next fall.

10/25/05 At one of my favorite places, Roxborough State Park, I passed by this huge 10 point buck as I drove out. I was no more than 15 feet from him and I snapped off 20 shots as the Park Ranger was behind me waiting for me to leave so he could close the gate. Sometimes, you just have to get the shot and not worry too much about someone else trying to rush you.

10/07/05 We had a little visitor at our manager's meeting. Unfortunately, one of the managers is afraid of mice and cleared out to the other room until our furry friend left the area.
