6/7/05 Back at Castlewood Canyon. The robins were all over today, running on the ground after grasshoppers and other food. A few were up in the trees scouting the area.

5/26/05 Testing out my new Tokina 80-200/2.8 with some borrowed extension tubes. I'm pretty sure this is a camelia. The whole bush was blooming for about 2 weeks and then everything fell off.

5/23/05 Construction guys hit a 4 inch gas line and toasted a piece of their equipment. This burned for over 2.5 hours ! It was way cool. Fortunately, no one got hurt.

5/17/05 Although Florida sunsets are beautiful, I'm finding that mountain sunsets have their own charm too. As I left work I saw the sky and wound up shooting over 80 images as the sun went down and underlit the clouds.

5/16/05 Another image from the Denver Botanic Gardens. I happened upon a few plants that had recently been watered and had a few drops on them. The colors here are what really got me.

5/16/05 Denver Botanic Gardens had a free admission day. I just love the look of the petals of this flower. They look like crepe paper. It was a nice, warm sunny day and I had a great time making great images.

5/11/05 While driving back from Kansas I caught this in my rearview mirror. Had to pull off the road and catch this image. I had taken a different route home since NW Kansas was plagued with tornadoes this day.

5/08/05 I pass this spot driving home from work every day. This day had wonderful clouds hovering over Pikes Peak off in the background.

5/04/05 Daniels Park has a bunch of burnt out trees from a fire 2 years ago. This is a close up of one of them with lots of holes in it. Don't know what made the holes, but it looks cool in B+W.
