4/25/05 So many places I drive to have wildlife on the side of the road. It constantly amazes me. A group of deer crossed the road and hopped the fence. This was about a half mile from where I work. I love Colorado.

4/21/05 My coworkers had told me about Daniels Park as a good place to shoot birds. The day I went was fairly windy so the birds were not around, but I found a little prarie dog village across the street. This little guy was 'yelping' to warn his buddies that some big intruder was near.

4/17/05 Every morning I get winged visitors on my porch. This House Finch and his buddies chirp constantly before dipping down to the nest in a tree just below. Hopefully, my neighbors don't think I'm a perv with a camera, long lens and tripod setup just inside my sliding glass door.

4/12/05 After the big snow I went to Castlewood Canyon to shoot the views of Pike's Peak. It was hard to trudge thru 18 inches of snow ! After about a half hour I decided that I had had enough. It was beautiful though.

4/10/05 Nice reflections of water and snow on my sliding glass door. Got about a foot of snow today (so far) and more is coming. Didn't have to go to work either - got a Snow Day!

3/27/05 Castlewood Canyon waterfall. I had been told about it numerous times and finally got a chance to go see and photograph it. The rocks at the bottom of the fall are covered with ice and snow. It was a cool day in more ways than one.

3/17/05 View South from the top of Castle Rock. Pikes Peak is at the far right on the horizon. It was a nice day for a hike up the hill.

2/26/05 The moon was HUGE tonight. When I got home I grabbed the D70 and 400mm lens and headed outside. This is a 50% crop of the original file. Next month I'm going to try to get a shot with Castle Rock in the pic.
